FIGHTS: NIGHT OF FUTURE CHAMPIONS Saratoga Springs, June 18, 2008 – Saratoga Springs heavyweight Gary Wilcox (21-3, 7 KOs) will face his toughest challenge in recent years when he faces young prospect Nagy Aguilera (8-0, 6 KOs), Newburgh, N.Y., in the eight-round co-feature event of Pugnacious Promotions’ annual “Night of Future Champions” summer boxing card at the Saratoga Springs City Center on Friday, July 25th. The bout will be featured on the annual card showcasing hot, young boxing prospects promoted by Pugnacious Promotions, in association with Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing and DiBella Entertainment, during the first weekend of world-class thoroughbred racing at the city’s historic race course. Feature fights on the card – held on the first night of twilight racing the evening before the Breeder's Cup qualifier Whitney Stakes – will be televised on ESPN2’s “Friday Night Fights.” Also appearing on the card are Guilderland lightweight prospect Mike Faragon (3-0), Schenectady light welterweight Brian Miller (2-0-2), Guilderland cruiserweight Chris Horn (3-1, 2 KOs), Albany light heavyweight Markus Williams (1-0, 1 KO), Yonkers cruiserweight Jon Schneider (7-2-1, 5 KOs) and Schenectady pro debuter Brian Abraham.
