Elovich PUGNACIOUS PROMOTIONS RETURNS BEFORE HALLOWEEN WITH FIRST ANNUAL PRO-AM BOXING CARD
Troy, N.Y., September 17, 2009 – Pugnacious Promotions continues its efforts to highlight the NY Capital Region's best young boxers with a special "Friday Night Frights" Halloween event, the First Annual "Future Stars Pro-Am Boxing" card at Hudson Valley Community College's McDonaugh Fieldhouse on Friday, October 23rd.
Professional bouts on the card include Schenectady NYS correction officer Brian Miller (5-0-3, 2 KOs) taking on local rival Rafael Luna (4-3-1, 1 KO), Albany, for the NYS Lightweight Regional Title and stablemate and undefeated Guilderland lightweight prospect Mike Faragon (8-0, 3 KOs) against an opponent to be announced. Also featured against an opponent to be announced will be exciting young power-puncher Kimdo Bethel (1-0, 1 KO), heavyweight of Albany, who debuted with a thrilling KO in his pro debuts this summer.
"We are very excited about showcasing our young local boxers who have recently turned pro as well as some of the top amateur boxers in the country from our area,” said Lisa Elovich, promoter of the event. “Having local pro prospects fight alongside top local amateurs is a double treat for the fans.”
Supporting USA Boxing, Olympic-style, three-round bouts will showcase the region's best young amateur talent, including Albany's Amir Imam and Will Madera, Colonie’s Curtis Graham, Schenectady's Ray Velez and others.
