Shannon Miller
(15-4, 9 KOs, Troy, NY)

Heavyweight Shannon Miller (15-4, 9 KOs), Troy, NY, has been around the boxing gym his entire life.  In the past three years, he fought Joe Mesi for the WBC/USNBC Heavyweight Title, challenged Derick Rossy for the NYS Heavyweight Title at Madison Square Garden and fought in one of ESPN2's Fights of the Year against Vinny Maddalone.  Dan Rafael called it "ESPN2's most dramatic fight and the best heavyweight bout of the year."  

 


Wayland Willingham
(13-0, 8 KOs, Albany, NY)

Light welterweight Wayland Willingham (13-0, 8 KOs, Atlanta, GA) is undefeated in 13 professional bouts and is looking to move up the rankings toward big fights, winning four out of his last five bouts by KO.  Looking to step up to eight and 10-round bouts and will challenge for a regional title in his next few fights.  


Promotion

Pugnacious Promotions is woman-owned promotional company based in New York's Capital Region, including the state's only licensed female professional boxing promoter, Lisa Elovich. Formed in 2005, it has quickly gained a reputation for putting on highly-entertaining feature fights and competitive undercards, including the televised Andy Lee-Brian Vera card at Mohegan Sun in March, Andre Berto-Cosme Rivera in July 2007 and Shannon Miller-Vinny Maddalone in August 2005, both in Saratoga Springs.

Lisa Elovich has more than 18 years experience managing public events, promotional campaigns and fundraising/sponsored activities in a number of professional and volunteer roles.  She is a New York State-licensed attorney and serves as a member of the NYS Board of Parole, in addition to being a licensed boxing promoter in New York and at Mohegan Sun.  She is a former administrative law judge at the NYS Office of Children and Family Services, Deputy Attorney General of New York State and an Assistant District Attorney of Manhattan.  She also serves on the Alumni Board of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NENY and is the mother of a eight year-old daughter and a 9 year-old son.


Paul Brown, Vice President/Operations, manages Pugnacious Promotions’ business operations, marketing and event management.  In addition to more than 15 years experience at the family small business, public relations/public affairs firm Sawchuk, Brown Associates, he is an official with the Adirondack Association of USA Boxing (the local amateur boxing commission), serves as an at-large member of its board of directors and is a boxing instructor at Capital Region Gold's Gyms.  He has two sons, ages nine and 11, and is a Parent Member of the Committee on Special Education for the Waterford-Halfmoon School District.
