Thank You
My sincerest thanks to all of the Boxing
Friends who have written and called me with condolences after the sudden
death of my father, David Brown.
My dad was a humble man who accomplished a great deal professionally and was widely respected throughout the region. He also was generous with his time and talents on behalf of a number of community organizations. His influence on people in his profession and the greater community has been demonstrated by all those who have come together to celebrate his life in recent days. He left a great legacy that I am proud to try to hand down to my two young sons.
One of the positive things to focus on at a time like this is how much support we have from friends, family and community. The friends Lisa and I have made in the community of boxing have been among the most caring, concerned and supportive since my loss.
We have been hard at work planning the 2007 series of local boxing shows, so please check back soon for dates, locations and feature bouts.
